Hi everyone, as you can see I am in the process of changing some things. There are a lot of links on my blog that do not exist and are defaults that I have not customized yet. Please be patient and as soon as I get the chance I will have everything in place. I hope you all like the new blog! My apologies for the confusion.

Im so behind on blogs. Had the chance to photographer the Lighthouse Business and Professional Women Awards Banquet today. Met so many people and it was an awesome opportunity. May even become a member :-).
This is a session I did a couple weeks ago of 3 adorable little munchkins. You will be seeing more of them throughout the year as well. So excited I get to take their pictures for the next year, especially when the little man starts walking in a few months!
Love what you do

Today I wanted to give up..... I always admired photographers but never thought that I would become one because I knew that the equipment they carried was far beyond the amount of money I would ever have. Well, I have been very blessed and at the age of 26 I have been much more successful than anyone, even myself, ever thought I would become. I served 4 years in the military and as much as I hated it, it is the reason I am where I am. I was lucky to find a wonderful husband and now I have the most wonderful little girls with him. I live in a nice house, even though sometimes I hate it, but I do consider myself very lucky to have the things I do. I truly am blessed! Not only do I have all these things but I have found what I love to do. I bought my camera June of last year and since then I have been addicted with taking pictures and learning more about the art of photography. I have spent soo much time researching and practicing and what started as a hobby became a job and now I spend time researching the business aspects of photography. I don't just do it for the money, I do it for the joyful feeling I get knowing I create wonderful images of families and children. I love getting home from a shoot and loading images to look at the expressions and feelings I captured for people. But I know that I still have a lot more learning and practice to do and although I am pretty good I know that I can do better. So there is a part of me that feels I am not good enough, especially when I get inquires only to find out that they decided to use a different photographer. I guess you get this with any business though. I just have been having such a hard time getting myself known and I feel like I spend a lot of time trying to figure out ways to reach people and it seems like such a waste because nothing helps. But I just keep telling myself that someday I will reach the point in my business where I want to be and I am not sure how long it will take but its definitely worth the wait because I love it soo much. I cant imagine doing anything else. It is what I absolutely love to do!

I think this was the happiest little girl I have ever seen. 6 months is the best age to photograph, they are just full of smiles. She has got to be the most perfect lil piggy with those chubby cheeks!
Mini Fall Sessions | Mississippi Gulf Coast Portrait Photography

Fall is my favorite time of year! I used to love the way everything changed back home in NY. Everything is such vibrant, warm colors and there is a distinct crisp smell that fills the air when the leaves start changing and falling off the trees. I only appreciate it now that I don't get to experience it every year. Hay bails, apples, cinnamon, leaves, mums, corn stalks, pumpkins, frost.....just isn't the same in Mississippi. Now I just light a candle that smells like these things and pretend that its cold and colorful outside. :-)
